Initiated by the HOY collective (Camille Kaiser, Vicente Lesser, Julie Marmet), Espace 3353 opened in October 2018. The space is conceived as a platform, allowing multiple and plural exchanges, and bringing together speakers active in diverse fields and geographies. The programme includes different artistic and research practices, encouraging in particular collective, political and experimental approaches. The HOY collective is committed to remunerating the artists by paying a fee to each of its collaborators. During the exhibitions, the space is open on Saturdays afternoon and by appointment.

LE COMTE DU W. BONATTI

Niels Schack

Le comte du W. Bonatti is a solo exhibition by Niels Schack, invited by the HOY collective at Espace 3353. This is the first exhibition in Switzerland of the self-taught artist, who presents paintings made in situ and inspired by a recent sailing trip during which he undertook the reading of The Count of Monte Cristo. The book is transformed into an augmented experience of the stay at sea, where reality and fiction intertwine.
